We are seeking experienced and dedicated educators (3+ years of teaching) to join our expanding school in the Financial District in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children, partnering with families, teaching and learning, be knowledgeable in elementary education pedagogy, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
We anticipate openings across all grades for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities of the position include planning and delivering engaging, differentiated, and culturally responsive lessons that align with New York state standards, assessing student progress and providing feedback for improvement, maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom environment, and collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to engage in professional development opportunities and stay up to date with current educational research and trends.
All non-DOE teachers and first-year DOE teachers need to submit an application with the DOE as well.
New York State certification is required.
Dual certification is preferred. We are ONLY looking for candidates certified in grades K-6 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Assistant teachers work closely with the classroom teacher to support the implementation of literacy and mathematics curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment for students. The assistant teacher will assist in the preparation and organization of instructional materials, resources, and technology. They will also monitor student progress and supervise students in various settings, such as classrooms, hallways, lunch, and recess. We expect assistant teachers to be reliable, dependable, and trustworthy.
